Jesus (Jesse) Hernandez

Attorney at Law

Website: www.jesushlaw.com

Q - What made you decide to become a lawyer?

A -  I believe that as a student in high school when I played the part of the attorney in "To Kill A Mockingbird", that experience cemented my interest in becoming a lawyer. [Interviewer's note: To Kill A Mockingbird is a Pulitzer winning novel by Harper Lee in which an attorney defends a black man accused of raping a white woman in Alabama during the Depression in the early 20th Century]

Q - Where did you go to law school?

A -  I attended and graduated from Texas Southern University, Houston, Texas.

Q - Where are you from originally?

A -  I am from McAllen, Texas.

Q - What areas of law do you prefer to practice?

A -  My areas of preference are Personal Injury, Insurance Law, and Criminal Law.

Q- In what valley city is your office located, and how can one find it when in town?

A - My law office is located at 508 South Ave, Edinburg, Texas, 3 blocks south of Courthouse Square on 12th Street. You can also find a map on my website at www.jesushlaw.com

Q - Do you have a story you would like to share (e.g., about a case you have argued)?

A -  I was able to obtain a large settlement from a major grocery store chain, when they entrusted a motorized shopping cart to an elderly shopper who then subsequently caused injuries to my client when he struck her.  I have not seen a similar case in verdict and settlement reviews.

Q - Are there any certain types of cases your office will not handle in the near future?

A -  Only those cases outside of the practice areas I have previously described.

Q - Is there anything you would like to share with our online viewers at this time?

A -  My motto is "Don't ever give up your rights".  This is applicable to all legal situations and many situations in life in general.  Once a right is lost or compromised it may be extremely difficult or impossible to recover that right and its benefits.

Q - If anyone reads this interview and wants to send you e-mail can they do so?

A -  Yes, and my office e-mail is info@jesushlaw.com

Q - If anyone wants to consult with you, what is your fee for a first time consultation?

A -  A first time consultation is always free of charge.

Q - If someone wants to set up an appointment to meet with you, what is the telephone number they should call?

A -  Phone (956) 380-2779 (8:30 am to 5:30 pm M-F)

       Fax (956) 316-0881 (24 hours)

Q - What are the hours during which your office can take a call?

A -   8:30 am to 5:30 pm Monday through Friday.
